Hands down coffee - had a fantastic experience at this cafe in Friday Harbor! The water view and outdoor seating is absolutely stunning, providing a peaceful backdrop to enjoy your coffee. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. We got to celebrate birthday of one of the baristas while we were there :) The coffee and pastries both savory and sweet are yummy —perfectly brewed, baked and fresh. Plus, there’s a great selection of merchandise, making it easy to pick up a souvenir. Highly recommend this cozy spot for anyone visiting!
Nice little coffee shop right on the water. Didn’t enjoy the drip but the americanos and the latte I’ve had were very good. Great bagel breakfast sandwiches although the prices on the website are not accurate but I wasn’t really expecting it to cost 7(it was 14). They have pastries as well that I haven’t tried yet.
We liked Riptide Cafe so much, we went two days in a row. Between us, we tried the mocha, lattes, hot chocolate, and matcha—everything was consistently great. Their breakfast sandwiches were solid, too. We got them on bagels, but they let you customize with English muffins, toast, or other breads. On the second day, we tried one of their smoothies. Even though they use frozen fruit, it was still really tasty. The cafe has a great vibe with views right on the harbor and plenty of seating to relax and enjoy your food or drink. Highly recommend stopping by.

Amazing coffee, amazing workers, amazing atmosphere. We were particularly impressed by the fun seasonal drinks that were extremely well done. The staff was incredible and the view from the cafe is so cute and peaceful. If you are one that likes your morning coffee run, you have to go here! Don’t waste your time anywhere else on the island.
TLDR; Best coffee and small breakfast bites on the island, and possibly also Washington. We stopped by and got a few mochas, an avocado toast and a breakfast sandwich which were all so incredibly in terms of flavor that I wish this cafe was close to home and not a 2 hour drive and 1 hour ferry ride away. :( I’ve never had better mocha anywhere in the state, and the flavors on their avocado toast are absolutely on point. To top it off, their prices are reasonable too! Will be back, and this will always be my coffee place on Friday Harbor.
We came here every day during our five night stay in Friday Harbor. Love the smoothies and smoothie bowls, and the Waldron sandwich. All the employees were very nice! Great location right on the water.
